I’m reading some Galbraith the elder (who popularized the term conventional wisdom) and some chicago school guy (richard clarke I think). I’ll summarize when I get farther into them.

Looks like to me that the “teabaggers” are winning.
Lately i’ve been thinking a lot about population with regards to wealth. Not sure how it fits into the framework that I’ve been mulling over. I’m holding off reading anything about wealth until I’ve had some time continue to think about it.
However, I am compiling a reading list for when that time comes:
Marx’s Das Capital
Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations
The wikipedia article on wealth and assorted links from it
What else would help to inform me?
Le Tigre — “What’s Yr Take On Cassavetes?”
So I’ve always found this to be a frustrating song. The girls in Le Tigre ask a clever question: Was Cassavetes a genius or a mysoginist?
I don’t know the answer, and I personally don’t have an opinion, but why doesn’t the band go further into depth on the subject? What kind of serious debate consists of just yelling back Genius! Mysoginist! Genius! back and forth.
How about Le Tigre take a stand and then expound.
So they could say: “Cassavetes is a mysoginist… here’s why…” followed by several verses of explanation. That would be an awesome song.
